Terms of use
spotafraud.ai gives risk information about .au domains to help you decide what to trust. It's evidence for your own judgement, not a guarantee. By using the website or API you agree to these terms.
last updated 13 October 2026The service
spotafraud.ai is operated by Roxabo Pty Ltd (ABN 98 646 176 534) ("we", "us").
spotafraud.ai checks Australian (.au) domains for signs of fraud using public certificate history, the ABN register, lookalike detection and AI analysis. You can use the website check for free; API access is provided under a separate plan or agreement.
What results mean
- Results are risk information and evidence, not a statement that a site is safe or that a business has done anything wrong.
- "Low risk" means we found no warning signs. It does not mean a website, email or request is genuine.
- Our data and AI analysis can be incomplete or wrong, and a domain can change after we check it.
- Results aren't legal, financial or security advice. Before you pay or change bank details, verify the request by phone using a number you already have.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy our data in bulk, scrape the website or run automated checks through it (use the API instead);
- get around rate limits, security measures or access controls;
- resell or republish our results or datasets without our written permission;
- use our results to harass, threaten or defame anyone; or
- interfere with the service or use it unlawfully.
We may limit, suspend or block access that breaks these terms.
API keys
Keep your API key confidential; you're responsible for use made with it. Usage limits and any fees are set out in your plan or agreement. We may change, suspend or revoke a key if it's misused, or to protect the service.
Corrections
If you think a result about your domain or business is wrong, contact us with the domain and any evidence. We review every request, correct errors and can add context to a result. See the support page for how to reach us.
Data and attribution
The service, its design and our compiled data belong to us or our licensors. Registered business details come from the ABN Bulk Extract, Australian Business Register, data.gov.au, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia. Certificate data comes from public Certificate Transparency logs.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that can't be excluded.
Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, our results, including losses from scams, payments or business decisions. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again.
General
We may change the service or these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the courts there.
